Ernst Schaap is a dutch painter-artist, who got his aducation in art at Minerva Kunstakademie in Groningen in the north of the country. The main part of his artistic life he worked at Amsterdam. Ther he had a main part of his expositions at Jos Art Gallery. He had also exhibitions at Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam and one in Gent, Belgium. He died by the causes of cancer at 26th of august 2007.
Recently he had a posthume exhibition in the Martena Museum at Franeker from the 25th of march untill the 22th of may 2011.
The next exposition will be in 2015 in Nijmegen Netherlands from the 10th of mai untill the 7th of june in the Stevenskerk
